The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Communities paid tribute to the Tragedy Formiguinha de Boa Morte, in a ceremony held on Friday, April 24, at the Cacau Space, as part of the Diplomatic Soiree – Cultural Diplomacy, integrated into the celebrations of the Day of the Santomean Diplomat.
The tribute was led by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Communities, Ilza Amado Vaz, to the Tchiloli group of the aforementioned tragedy, and was attended by cultural ambassadors, representatives of the diplomatic corps and an expressive audience.
On the occasion, the head of Santomean diplomacy highlighted the important contribution of this cultural manifestation, in particular the Tragedy Formiguinha de Boa Morte, to the preservation, valorization and promotion of national culture. She emphasized that this recognition symbolizes the institutional appreciation for the role played in safeguarding the country's cultural heritage.
Ilza Amado Vaz also praised the commitment of all those who, over the years, have contributed to the preservation and transmission of this cultural legacy to future generations.
